Montabert showcased its new SD compact breakers at ConExpo-Con/Agg, as well as other products – including its medium-range breaker line, grapples, processors, pulverizers and scrap shears

The company’s SD hydraulic breaker series, for use on carriers up to 12 tons, provides versatility and productivity to accomplish multiple tasks, according to Montabert. The company says the SD series offers quick, easy maintenance in the field or shop, as it has fewer wear parts and no tie rods. Additionally, bushings, pins and tools can easily be replaced in the field without removing the breaker from the carrier, Montabert says.

The fully-enclosed, soundproof cradle reduces vibrations and limits noise, according to the company, with lightweight, heavy-duty housing protecting working parts and hoses. A unique chamber acts as hydraulic shock absorber, reducing pressure variations in the hydraulic circuits to provide consistent breaking energy, Montabert says.

Within the new line of silent demolition tools, Montabert says its grapples are designed for carriers from 5 tons up to 100 tons. They feature 360-degree rotation, Hardox 400 to 450 jaws, and Hardox 500 exchangeable blades.

Multiprocessor jaws for carriers weighing 8 to 65 tons, meanwhile, include combi-, multifunction and scrap-metal jaws. These offer 360-degree rotation, speed-valve cylinders and exchangeable Hardox 600 crushing teeth.

In the Pulverizer line, Montabert offers both a fixed model and a 360-degree rotating model. All pulverizers feature Hardox 400 bodies, exchangeable and reversible blades, and exchangeable wear plates and teeth.
