While ConExpo-Con/Agg will be the big trade show draw for aggregate producers in 2026, another industry exhibition continues to gain momentum internationally: Hillhead.
The UK’s quarrying and construction equipment show, which takes place every two years, returns June 23-25 to Tarmac’s Hillhead quarry in Buxton, England. According to QMJ Group, which manages the show, Hillhead is expected to surpass 600 exhibitors next summer.
“We are delighted to have all the major OEMs confirmed for the show, and we are seeing that momentum spread across all areas of the showground as the appetite for both indoor and outdoor space continues to build,” says Richard Bradbury, Hillhead event director.
As part of that broader growth, a brand-new area of the show debuts in 2026 in the Startup Zone, which will be dedicated to up-and-coming companies in the quarrying, construction and recycling industries. According to QMJ Group, the space will showcase fresh ideas, breakthrough technologies and innovative solutions, giving startups an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, investors and potential customers.
Hillhead established a record number of “visits” in 2024 at 26,626. The figure was up 8 percent from the 2022 show.
Live demonstrations remain one of Hillhead’s defining attractions. More than 35 machines were featured in Hillhead 2024’s equipment demonstrations, with excavators, wheel loaders, haul trucks, dozers, hydraulic breakers, screening buckets and mist cannons among the featured wares.
Registration for the three-day Hillhead 2026 is now open.
