MINExpo International next month will undoubtedly look and feel different than the version that took place in Las Vegas three years ago.
The last MINExpo, held in 2021, was a COVID-altered trade show that attracted an estimated 21,000 people across three days to the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). Without a pandemic as an obstacle this time around, attendance at MINExpo 2024 should be closer to that seen in 2016 (44,000).
MINExpo 2024 exhibits will be available in three LVCC halls during the Sept. 24-26 show: North Hall, Central Hall and West Hall. West Hall, which opened in June 2021, did not house MINExpo exhibits in 2021, although some attendees likely experienced the 1.4 million-sq.-ft. venue roughly 18 months ago at ConExpo-Con/Agg.
MINExpo remains the place to see the latest mining equipment and technology, although the show caters to more than just aggregate producers. Attendees and exhibitors also specialize in coal, ferrous and nonferrous metals, industrial minerals and precious metals.
Additionally, MINExpo includes a limited speaker series this year that includes celebrities like Kevin O’Leary, Danica Patrick and Mike Rowe. MINExpo attendees can access the series with a special registration, according to the host National Mining Association.
