The National Mining Association (NMA) hosts MINExpo International 2016, Sept. 26-28, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More than 1,900 companies will be exhibiting at the quadrennial trade show, showing off equipment for stone, sand and gravel producers, and for operators in other mining sectors.
Moya Phelleps, senior vice president for member services at NMA, suggests attendees do their homework before attending. “It’s a big show, and there are tools and things we put out there to assist [attendees]. There will be a print directory on site to help,” she says.
“Look online at our list of exhibitors because you can customize a list of what you want to see to maximize your time. Also, look at the educational sessions we’re offering to see if you want to attend any of them ahead of time.”
NMA will have an online directory that will be available during the show and when attendees return home so people can look back after the show if they forgot to see an exhibitor and follow up with them, Phelleps says.
“We will also offer the free MINExpo International app,” she adds. “We had that last [time], but it was our first time using one. This one will be more robust and be available for all smartphones.”
Opening session
On Monday, Sept. 26 at 10:00 a.m., mining’s leaders will take the stage during MINExpo’s opening session. Panel members include:

Education sessions
In addition to an opening session, MINExpo offers a variety of educational opportunities that provide information, case studies and best practices for mine operators, including aggregate producers. Get updated on the latest trends, what’s on the horizon, and learn about new applications for equipment, products and services that are delivering results for others.
