Michelin North America launched a social and digital media appreciation campaign called #KeepThingsMoving, which celebrates transportation industry employees who work behind the scenes to keep things moving forward during the holiday season.
Throughout the campaign, Michelin plans to honor a number of transportation industry workers, including airport workers, truck drivers, farmers and parcel delivery workers.
As a part of the campaign, running Nov. 16 through Dec. 31, Michelin will recognize individuals in the transportation and travel industries who demonstrate outstanding commitment to keep the holidays moving by the posts received on its Facebook and Twitter pages. Michelin will then randomly select seven of these individuals to receive a Michelin-themed gourmet gift box from Try the World, an online gourmet store.
“Michelin applauds the commitment of individuals in the transportation industry in the air, on our roads, and across the farms and fields of America who deliver when it matters most,” says Ralph Dimenna, COO of Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “These unsung heroes enable us to travel home, transport our food and gifts, and keep our economy moving, not to mention the millions of miles driven by shoppers and travelers during the holidays and throughout the year.”
Michelin encourages people to share their appreciation on Twitter by using #KeepThingsMoving or post on its Facebook page to recognize an outstanding individual’s service. Participants can also download a thank-you card from Michelin’s media website to demonstrate gratitude toward community heroes.
Michelin designs, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks and motorcycles.
