The VTS101 (pictured) and VTC101 vehicle scales for weighing applications in the aggregates industry incorporate the newly released Powercell PDX load cell network. The VTS101 consists of a steel deck supported by orthotropic ribs that are sealed from the elements by automated continuous welds. The ribs are shaped to distribute concentrated loads better than I-beam designs. The VTC101 combines a concrete driving surface with a robust orthotropic understructure. The composite design draws on the strengths of concrete and steel to produce a durable structure.
