Two pieces of McLanahan Corp. washing and dewatering equipment will be on display at ConExpo-Con/Agg this week.
Exhibiting in Central Hall (Booth C31372) of the Las Vegas Convention Center, McLanahan is showcasing its horizontal screen-over-screw portable plant for the first time at any trade show. While not a new piece of equipment, McLanahan says it is a highly demanded configuration that the company’s dealers requested be on display due to its popularity.
The screen-over-screw plant contains a horizontal screen and a double screw washer, along with a McLanahan triple-shaft horizontal vibrating triple-deck screen, which is able to size washed rock products for direct stockpiling. Built over a McLanahan double screw fine material washer, the company says the plant can size and wash three aggregate products and one sand product.

Along with the portable plant, McLanahan will display its UltraDry dewatering screen at ConExpo-Con/Agg. The UltraDry is a modular, skid-mounted dewatering screen that can be added to a new or existing system to create a drier, ready-to sell product come off the dewatering screen at a moisture content as low 7 percent.
According to McLanahan, the dewatering screens used in the UltraDry system have the highest g-force on the market, creating a deeper bed depth, a drier product and more product processed. Heavy-duty urethane holds up to the demands created by deeper bed depths and higher g-forces, McLanahan says.
A slurry pump can be added to the UltraDry when pairing it with a screw washer to divert the screen’s underflow water back to the screen’s feed well. McLanahan says this location is ideal for water placement because it keeps product-sized fines in product piles, limits the system’s water use and allows material at the top of the screw to stay cleaner and drier. An optional spray bar is also available, allowing customers to scrub away any remaining debris and put the final touches on products.
At ConExpo-Con/Agg, McLanahan will have a variety of displays showcasing its washing equipment, crushers and screens, tailings management solutions, pumps and more.
