McLanahan Corp. will once again have a presence at AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo, exhibiting in the America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis (Booth 4001) while leading four education sessions in the show’s AGG1 Academy track.

McLanahan says AGG1 attendees can learn about its complete line of equipment at its booth. The company offers solutions in crushing, screening, washing, classifying and tailings management.

Company leaders will be on hand to discuss McLanahan’s complete systems, as well as the company’s range of equipment for aggregate and C&D recycling operations. McLanahan leaders will also present sessions on several topics in the AGG1 Academy track.

Neil Mullan, director of sales for C&D recycling at McLanahan, will lead a session titled “C&D Recycling 101.” In the session, Mullan will discuss the growing demand for recycled aggregates, covering the wet processing of C&D debris and highlighting the importance of recycling.

McLanahan’s Adam Orner, meanwhile, will participate in a session titled “Meeting Specs with Sampling: The Right Way & The Wrong Way.” Orner, global product manager at McLanahan, will discuss sampling methods that allow producers to ensure products meet strict specifications. The session will illustrate the benefits, safety and accuracy surrounding sampling systems, how to analyze sampling data, and why it is important to maintain a proper sampling operation.

McLanahan’s Rick Madara will also be an AGG1 Academy instructor, delivering a presentation titled “Creating Profit From Waste: The Secret to Recovering More Fines & Making More Money.” Madara, senior director of sales at McLanahan, plans to cover how to manage wastewater effluent containing extremely fine material as a byproduct of the washing process. Additionally, attendees will learn how capturing these fines can save producers time, energy and costs associated with handling fine material.

“Crushing 101” is another session involving a McLanahan leader. Mark Krause, vice president of business development at the company, will explore the different types of crushers used for material size reduction in this session. Krause will cover the pros and cons of each crusher type, as well as how to optimize the crushing process.
