McCloskey Washing Systems debuted its Compact Sand Plant (CSP) washing range at the 2018 AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo in Houston. The range includes the CSP 60, CSP 120, CSP 200 and CSP 250 single and twin sand plants.
According to the company, key features of the plants are superior separation efficiency, low running and maintenance costs, and a small footprint. The plants require less energy than traditional machines and feature rubber-lined wear areas and slurry pumps, the company says. They also boast galvanized walkways and access stairs, as well as safety shutdown systems.
“It provides a portable wash plant option to the market,” says Craig Rautiola, manager of technical sales and applications and North America process engineer at McCloskey Washing Systems. “The most important factor of the wash plant is its separating efficiency compared with more traditional equipment.”
The plant produces a drip-free final washed sand product and produces up to two in-spec sands at up to 250 tph.
“One of the most key features is the ability to produce a drip-free sand coming off the dewatering screen,” Rautiola adds. “The only moisture that is left on the sand is inherent surface moisture.”
In addition, the plants offer simple and fast assemble times, ease of operation, low maintenance and an overall reduced footprint, the company says.
McCloskey offers a number of crushing, screening, trommel screening, stacking and washing equipment. Last year, the company debuted its Sandstorm 620 at ConExpo-Con/Agg.
