P&Q had the unique opportunity last week to attend CES in Las Vegas, where Luck Stone and Caterpillar discussed their longtime partnership and how they’re collaborating to bring autonomous hauling technology to the aggregate industry.
Luck Stone’s Charlie Luck IV and Travis Chewning sat down with P&Q to discuss the project and what’s ahead at the company’s Bull Run Plant in Chantilly, Virginia, where autonomous haulers are expected to be deployed in 2024. Denise Johnson and Aaron Donnelli, meanwhile, offered perspective from Cat’s point of view, detailing how the companies will work together and how autonomous tech is expected to work in a quarry setting.
