Komatsu plans to introduce the industry to its latest electrification solutions at MINExpo International 2024 in Las Vegas.
Among the products the company intends to feature in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Hall (Booth 7132) during the Sept. 24-26 trade show is the WX04B, Komatsu’s first battery-electric powered LHD (load haul dump). The WX04B is a 4.4-ton-capacity LHD that’s designed with battery technology to help customers achieve their goals for safety, durability and high performance. The WX04B will be shown alongside a new Komatsu-designed charging solution.
Additionally, Komatsu intends to highlight the PC4000-11E electric drive hydraulic mining excavator. As Komatsu describes, the PC4000-11E delivers the digging force operators need from diesel machines while enabling zero-emissions loading.
The 930E PADT haul truck will also be on display at MINExpo. Built on Komatsu’s modular power agnostic platform that will allow for transition from diesel to battery or even hydrogen fuel cell power sources, the 930E PADT supports dynamic charging and trolley assist options to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
In addition to equipment, Komatsu will showcase its collaborations with other organizations working toward a more sustainable future – including GM and ABB.
Also, Komatsu says products and solutions will be highlighted at neighboring booths for its subsidiaries, including those of Immersive Technologies (Booth 6823), Montabert (Booth 7314) and MST Global (Booth 7322). Exhibits for these companies will also be in Central Hall.
