Knife River names VP of business development

Knife River Corp., an MDU Resources company, appointed Nathan Ring as its vice president of business development and operations support, effective Nov. 1. In this position, he will spearhead the company’s ongoing growth efforts.

Ring has 15 years of industry experience. He previously served as controller of Knife River’s Pacific Region and controller for Knife River’s sister company, MDU Construction Services Group. In 2014, Ring was promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer at MDU Resources Group, and since 2016, he has served as CFO at a regional bank.

“We are actively pursuing growth opportunities in all of our markets, and Nathan is the right person to lead that charge for us,” says Dave Barney, Knife River president and CEO. “He knows our company, our customers and our markets.”
