Kenworth of South Louisiana opened up a parts and service location in Lake Charles, La., the largest community in southwest Louisiana. The new location adds to the four other dealerships in the state, including Carencro, Harahan, Houma and Port Allen.
The large property bought out by Kenworth will help encourage the development and growth of the company, in addition to the Lake Charles area.
“The 12 acres provides us the opportunity to grow the facility as demand requires,” says Scott Oliphant, president of Kenworth of South Louisiana. “Already we’re looking at expanding the location to a much larger facility with more service bays and more room for parts storage and display.”
Currently, the location operates a parts delivery truck, has three trained service technicians for the PACCAR MX-13 engine and provides warranty service support. It also has two service bays.
The Lake Charles location is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
