Charlie Johnson, director of domestic dredge sales at DSC Dredge, took over as chair of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association’s (NSSGA) Manufacturing & Services (M&S) Division during the association’s Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
Johnson succeeds Josh Swank, vice president of sales and marketing at Philippi-Hagenbuch, who previously served as M&S Division chair. The M&S Division also appointed Mark Krause, managing director of North America at McLanahan Corp., as vice chair.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this role and want to thank Josh and the past chairmen for their steadfast leadership of the division,” Johnson says. “I look forward to working with the NSSGA M&S members to continue developing our membership numbers and increase relationships across the industry.”
The “gavel exchange,” a longstanding M&S Division tradition, took place during an M&S members dinner that included the M&S board, NSSGA Executive Committee members and past M&S board chairs.
