John Deere released its 670G LC excavator, which is equipped with a Tier 4 Final engine and customer-inspired updates to enhance productivity, maintenance and safety, the company says.
The 670G LC excavator features a battery disconnect switch, spin-on fuel filters and two additional water separators. The excavator includes engine and hydraulic oil sample ports, as well as an improved step position on the track frame and handrails on the upper structure.
The excavator also includes cab improvements, such as a heated air-suspension seat. According to the company, it has a variety of smart features, such as a Powerwise III engine/hydraulic-management system with multiple productivity modes. The system allows operators to balance engine performance and hydraulic flow for predictable operation.
Finally, the 670G LC boasts an expansion tank in the cooling system that enhances air pursing, provides make-up fluid when needed and improves overall cooling efficiency, John Deere adds.
“The 670G LC is an efficient, reliable and durable member of the G-Series lineup that contractors rely on day in and day out for mass earthmoving,” says Mark Wall, excavator product marketing manager for John Deere Construction & Forestry. “These machine updates, along with the Tier 4 Final implementation, will provide contractors with the excavator they need for big highway jobs, underground, deeper water and sewer projects.”
Fleet managers can also add Ultimate Uptime featuring John Deere WorkSight to their fleets, John Deere says. With Ultimate Uptime, owners receive pre-delivery and follow-up inspections; five years of JDLink telematics, machine health prognostics and remote diagnostics, and programming capability.
