San Antonio-based Jarco Aggregates purchased assets of Corpus Christi Sand & Gravel in Odem, Texas.

Through the deal, Jarco Aggregates plans to operate and expand a dredging and material processing operation. The company also intends to introduce more than 2 million metric tons of construction and proppant sand per year into the south Texas market.

Additionally, the site in Odem will offer Texas Department of Transportation-spec sand, cement sand, frac sand, 57 stone, topsoil, select fill, millings and, eventually, cement-stabilized sands ranging from 1.5 sack to 3 sack.

“The Odem location, logistics and reserves at the Highway 37/77 interchange are ideally suited for our continued growth across aggregate products in the Coastal Bend,” says Joe Regalado, CEO of Jarco Companies.

Also, Jarco Aggregates intends to upgrade and expand the dryer, storage and loadout facilities in Odem to service the Eagleford and Laredo proppant markets.

Jarco Aggregates has operated sand mines, quarries and proppant processing plants in south Texas since 2010.
