Heidelberg Materials North America plans to deploy Pronto’s autonomous haulage system at its Lake Bridgeport Quarry in Bridgeport, Texas.
The plan follows what Pronto characterizes as “a successful pilot” of its technology in 2023 at Heidelberg Materials’ Bridgeport Quarry in Bridgeport, Texas. That project was conducted in partnership with Komatsu North America.
According to Pronto, the next phase of the pilot will also be on a Komatsu platform. Pronto says the project will include the integration of Komatsu Smart Quarry technologies that will enable enhanced data collection and analysis, as well as improved safety and productivity.
As Pronto describes, its autonomous haulage system leverages sensors, cameras and artificial intelligence to autonomously operate haul trucks in complex and dynamic environments.
