The GIW® LCC-R Gen2 from KSB GIW, Inc. is the next evolution in heavy-duty centrifugal slurry pumping, designed to meet the rigorous demands of Class 1–3 slurry applications. Building on the proven legacy of the original LCC series, the Gen2 model introduces a modernized, compact design with significant upgrades in maintenance, durability, and operational efficiency.
Key enhancements include an optimized shaft seal interface with a standard front pull-out stuffing box, allowing seal changes without disassembling the hub side casing or bearing assembly. Maintenance is streamlined with improved access to fasteners, simplified nose gap adjustments, and reduced downtime. The pump also features zinc-plated fasteners for superior corrosion resistance and longer service life.
The Gen2 supports fully integrated expeller and mechanical seal options, including the new KSB LAPIS seal tailored for mining environments. A redesigned 70mm shaft and mechanical frame integrate seamlessly with 100mm and 150mm discharge wet ends, while maintaining forward compatibility with most Gen1 spares.
