The GIW® LCC-R Gen2 from KSB GIW, Inc. is a next-generation heavy-duty centrifugal slurry pump engineered for Class 1–3 slurry applications. Building on the legacy of the original LCC series, the Gen2 introduces a compact, modernized design with major improvements in maintenance, durability, and efficiency.
Key upgrades include a front pull-out stuffing box that enables shaft seal changes without removing the hub side casing or bearing assembly. Maintenance is simplified with better access to fasteners, easier nose gap adjustments, and reduced downtime. Zinc-plated fasteners enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life.
The Gen2 accommodates integrated expeller and mechanical seal options, including the new KSB LAPIS seal designed for mining environments. A redesigned 70mm shaft and mechanical frame work seamlessly with 100mm and 150mm discharge wet ends, while retaining compatibility with most Gen1 spares.
