The return of AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo means the Pit & Quarry Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is back along with it.
The induction ceremony makes its return following a 2024 ceremony in Nashville. This month’s black-tie gala takes place at the Marriott St. Louis Grand on March 24 – the evening before the start of AGG1.
Four men who made lasting marks on the aggregate industry will be honored during the induction ceremony. Gerry Bauer (EccoFab), Ron DeDiemar, Tom Hill (Vulcan Materials Co.) and Edgar B. Symons (Symons Brothers Co.) were selected for enshrinement as members of the 2025 class. They will join the 40 others who were inducted to the Hall of Fame over the past 12 years.
“We look forward to collectively celebrating our four new honorees as our next Hall of Fame class,” says Rob Fulop, group publisher of Pit & Quarry. “They’re all highly regarded within their respective niche in the industry, and their career efforts represent what the Hall of Fame is all about.”
The Hall of Fame festivities begin at 7 p.m. March 24 with a cocktail reception that will be followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and the induction ceremony shortly thereafter. Tickets for the ceremony can be purchased at pitandquarryhalloffame.com/tickets. Dinner and drinks are included with each ticket purchase, but ticket quantities are limited.
While the aggregate industry will honor Bauer, DeDiemar, Hill and Symons in St. Louis, P&Q pays tribute to the 2025 class within this month’s edition. Read on for individual profiles of this year’s inductees, whose replica plaques will ultimately be on display at the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum in Leadville, Colorado, following the March 24 celebration.
