In order to protect downstream equipment, use both ferrous and nonferrous metal separation equipment to find and remove unwanted metals. Suspended magnets placed above conveyors attract and remove tramp metals, and then metal detectors, placed slightly farther downstream, identify nonferrous metals that the suspended magnet is unable to remove. There’s no better way to guard valuable equipment against dangerous metals.
