Available in single and double screw units, EIW LLC’s Fine Material Washers have three primary functions: washing, dewatering and classification. Their primary function is washing, which is accomplished by the continually rotating conveyor shaft and the velocity of overflowing waste water. The attrition caused by the rolling and tumbling of the feed material allows for deleterious coatings to be removed from the sand product and discharged along with the waste water. As the product is conveyed up the inclined shaft, free water drains from the material, allowing the product to dewater. The final function, classification, is achieved by adjusting the volume of water that flows over the adjustable weirs.
