New cooling systems boost drive performance

SEW-Eurodrive now offers external oil cooling and supply systems for heavy industry gearing (HIG). The HIG drive systems are built and configured in Wellford, South Carolina, offering lead times as short as six weeks. According to the company, the systems are engineered to support today’s torque-dense gearboxes where thermal limitations often determine gearbox size. SEW-Eurodrive’s cooling and supply systems can be tailored to a producer’s specific requirements. They include modular, sensor-ready features to support system reliability and monitoring.

Lubrication cart allows for fast, easy service

Motion Industries launched the Motion lube caddy, a self-contained, towable lubrication cart designed to easily service enclosed machinery assets. Motion says the lube caddy delivers a fast, efficient and clean way to service a facility’s enclosed gearing assets while enhancing worker safety. It can be used on hydraulic systems, mobile and agriculture equipment drive cases, and more. Features include a dual-design reservoir and an auto shut-off mode, which prevents the pump from running dry when the tank empties. The solution is especially suitable for manufacturers that change lubrication oil periodically – particularly for gearboxes, hydraulic systems and other items. Motion says the lube caddy is suitable for industries such as pulp and paper, mining and material handling, steel and heavy metals, and food and beverage, among others.

Regal Rexnord Corp.’s next-generation Perceptiv intelligent reliability and maintenance solution is for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in industrial manufacturing. The next evolution of the Perceptiv ecosystem offers users a unified platform to meet growing reliability needs, the company says. Perceptiv intelligence uses in-field sensors and gateways to monitor machine health. The collected data can be sent to a customer’s on-premises system through industrial protocols, or to the Perceptiv web platform for online viewing. Through the web platform, Regal Rexnord reliability engineers can analyze data to provide customers with recommendations on extending equipment life and reducing unplanned downtime.
