Dirty Jobs’ Rowe to join ConExpo-Con/Agg Tech Talks lineup

ConExpo-Con/Agg 2017 organizers added Mike Rowe, former executive producer and host of the TV series “Dirty Jobs,” to its lineup of Tech Talks speakers.

Rowe, known as the “dirtiest man on TV,” will share lessons he learned as an apprentice during his session, “Lessons from the Dirt.” One of his most recent initiatives includes a collaboration with the National Excavator Initiative, which aims to reach excavators and contractors with self-digging messages, such as contacting an 811 notification center before digging.

“We’re very excited to welcome Mike Rowe to the Tech Talks forum and ConExpo-Con/Agg to connect with our attendees,” says Sara Truesdale Mooney, show director and vice president of exhibitions and business development for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. “He is a longtime industry supporter advocating for a skilled workforce, the manufacturing sector and infrastructure investment.”

The Tech Talks forum offers short presentations to inspire and inform attendees, say show organizers. They will focus on emerging trends and solutions directly affecting the construction industries.

John Rogers, president, CEO and co-founder of Local Motors, will also join the Tech Talks forum. In his session, “The Future of Mobility,” he will cover changes in the mobile landscape, as well as autonomous vehicles and projects for 2020.
