Beumer Group is making digitalization a focus of its MINExpo International showcase this week in Las Vegas, illustrating how it can impact an operation’s efficiency, safety and sustainability.
As Beumer Group describes, digitalization in mining enables producers to collect and analyze data, as well as test machines under new operational conditions. Plants can benefit from cost reductions and increased efficiencies as digitalization supports the implementation of material-tracking systems.
Additionally, Beumer Group says producers can now automate and streamline mining processes and closely monitor resources through sensor data, providing insights into bulk material handling and transport processes.
“Digitalization is a term most often associated with smart factories, but it can also have a transformative effect on heavy industries like mining,” says Bruno Castro, global head of digital technology, minerals and mining at Beumer Group. “Our experts can help the mining industry realize the tangible benefits of digitalization to improve efficiency, productivity and safety. We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our booth during MINExpo to discuss how best to unlock the power of digital technologies.”
Beumer Group will be present in West Hall (Booth 11227) of the Las Vegas Convention Center during MINExpo.
