Thunder Creek Equipment expanded its truck upfit line of fuel and service solutions with the addition of the Class 5 Isuzu NRR truck chassis. The expansion includes the No HAZMAT Fuel & Service Upfit model and the Service & Lube Truck Upfit model for daily fluids and preventive maintenance. The Isuzu NRR truck chassis features a gross vehicle weight rating of 19,500 pounds and is built to handle bulk fluid delivery to sites ranging from paved commercial and institutional sites to off-road construction sites. Thunder Creek says the primary benefits of its upfit platforms compared to larger, higher-volume bulk tanker trucks are a lower total cost of ownership, the ability to get in and out of more compact or crowded sites, and less disturbance and lower ground pressure.

Environmentally friendly hydraulic fluid for unpredictable environments

Bio-Fleet hydraulic fluids from Renewable Lubricants are biodegradable, performing like synthetics yet economical enough for frequent oil change environments. The formulations meet or exceed common performance protocols, the company says, including Vickers M-2950-S, Vickers 1-286-5, U.S. Steel 126 and U.S. Steel 127. Highly inhibited against moisture and rusting in both fresh and seawater, Renewable Lubricants says Bio-Fleet hydraulic fluids are ideal for hydraulic equipment operating outside where high moisture and dusty environments are prominent. They are formulated to perform in hydraulic systems that require anti-wear, anti-rust, anti-oxidation, anti-foam and demulsibility properties. The hydraulic fluids are available in ISO 22, ISO 32, ISO 46 and ISO 68 weights to suit a range of applications.

Hauler sideboards increase material volume

Philippi-Hagenbuch offers sideboards to haul more material with each load while minimizing material loss. The company says its sideboards are easily installed and precisely fit to vertically extend the sides of off-highway haul truck bodies. Philippi-Hagenbuch works with individual operations to custom engineer sideboards to achieve the optimal height based on the truck’s rated weight, the material being hauled, and the loading equipment involved. Sideboards are available in 1-in. increments, from 6 in. to 40 in., and they may be available in even larger sizes depending on the haul truck.

Integrator designed for use with scales, feeders on belts

The new WeighPoint Series 7200 integrator expands Thayer Scale’s line of weighing-focused instrumentation. According to Thayer Scale, the WeighPoint integrator is a dual-processor, touchscreen-enabled solution designed for continuous operation in harsh environments. The company says the field-mountable or panel-mountable standalone unit with HMI provides an easy-to-use interface to the company’s library of algorithms and functions. WeighPoint 7200 is designed for use with Thayer Scale’s range of RF belt scales and weigh belt feeders.

Software integrated on loader scales

TAC Insight’s Fast-Weigh software is now integrated with Loadrite loader scales. According to TAC Insight, Fast-Weigh and Loadrite users can now track the status of trucks in-plant and provide operators with information such as customer, product, job and target weights. By integrating with Loadrite scales, TAC Insight says Fast-Weigh eliminates the need for a second device in the loader cab. Fast-Weigh can leverage Loadrite’s platform by sending data directly to the Loadrite 3180 and L5000 loader scales. Additionally, TAC Insight says Fast-Weigh now tracks analytics and performance by comparing Loadrite weights against ticketed weights. Truck turnaround and loading performance can be monitored and reviewed remotely from the Fast-Weigh cloud web portal.

Cloud platform empowers users to manage their business processes

Command Alkon introduced Command Cloud as a new platform that’s designed to drive operational excellence and facilitate AI-assisted, data-driven decision-making. According to Command Alkon, Command Cloud offers a single cloud platform that manages all business processes – from inventory management to the back office. As part of Command Cloud, Command Alkon crafted a new user interface design for dispatch through engagement with users throughout the development process. The new interface provides a user experience that is easier to learn, easier to use and available on any desktop or mobile device. Also, the company says analytics dashboards can be configured to visualize business performance and drive profitability.

Pulley upgraded for higher performance

Superior Industries made its newly redesigned Chevron pulley available in abrasion resistant (AR) steel. According to the company, the use of AR steel in the manufacturing of conveyor pulleys enhances their durability – especially in applications involving aggressively wearing bulk materials. This reduces maintenance costs, improves operational efficiency and ensures consistent performance in demanding environments. In another design update, Superior removed the rounded cap on the wings for standard CEMA and mine-duty models. As Superior describes, the entire wing is now a wearable feature, significantly increasing the lifespan of the Chevron pulley in all applications. The rounded wing caps are still optional for mine-duty models.
