Summit Materials completed the acquisition of SCI Materials, an aggregate producer based in Florida.
Summit offered details of the transaction upon releasing its third-quarter report, noting that SCI Materials is being integrated with its Georgia Stone Products business. SCI Materials will contribute to Summit’s East Segment.
“With the acquisition of SCI Materials in October, we enter into the high-growth Florida market, expand the Summit footprint and become more materials led by adding an aggregates-based business to the portfolio,” says Brian Harris, CFO of Summit.
