
Haver & Boecker Niagara added the Cap & Slide (pictured) and Pin & Anchor deck frame systems to its expanding line of lock-bolted deck frame technology. The new deck frames offer the availability of bolt-on convenience for pin-and-sleeve and groove-style modular screen media, the company says. Haver & Boecker Niagara says the narrow configuration of the new deck frames increases the open area for more throughput. Lock bolts are used to provide a secure, weld-free connection that minimizes cost and wear, according to the company. Eliminating welding removes the need for a skilled welder, as well as the potential for accidents.
Mobile equipment fluid increases productivity
Petro-Canada Lubricants launched Produro TO-4+ UHP, a multi-purpose, synthetic, all-season transmission, hydraulic, drive line and wet brake fluid for heavy-duty mobile equipment. The company says its new fluid increases equipment productivity and decreases operating costs. Petro-Canada says Produro TO-4+ UHP maximizes durability and equipment protection at elevated system temperatures and in severe operating conditions. During a customer trial, the company says the fluid showed the ability to meet the requirements of the Caterpillar TO-4 specification. It also increased equipment life by up to 6 percent and delivered cost savings based on 25 units for a large Canadian mine operating across two sites.
Quick-release wedge solves multiple problems

EccoFab’s new single-hole, quick-release wedge for Eagle Crusher equipment represents the company’s second generation of customer centric wedges. EccoFab says the product solves two problems: rocking of the part during tightening and stuck bolts that create unusable wedges. In a typical OEM part, EccoFab says two bolts drive down to create tension on the blow bar. EccoFab says its single-hold solution solves a problem by driving one bolt down from the center. The company says its quick-release solution eliminates threads and allows significantly more wedges to be usable again – almost immediately.
New liner offers extended equipment life

Martin Engineering’s manufactured canoe liner is made from durable urethane molded around a rugged steel plate to absorb impact and abrasion from the punishing bulk handling environment. With the protective plate integrated directly into the urethane liner, Martin Engineering says its design delivers superior shielding of the skirt sealing system and chute wall from heavy, fast-moving cargo. The result is extended equipment life, longer periods of dust and spillage control, improved safety and less maintenance, reducing the overall cost of operation. The unique approach avoids the bonding issues common to previous designs, preventing urethane separation from the plate that could damage the belt and enclosure, Martin Engineering says. As material gradually erodes the manufactured canoe liner, the bottom trough angle continues to protect the skirting.
