Two previously unranked companies – Croell Redi-Mix (No. 57) and Hi-Grade Materials Co. (No. 75) – leap into this tier. The biggest riser in the group is Quikrete Co., which climbs 20 spots to the No. 51 position. Superstition Crushing (No. 69) is up 18 spots, and Capitol Aggregates (No. 65) gains 16 positions. Benevento Cos. (up 15 spots to No. 54), Northern Improvement Co. (up 14 spots to No. 51), Wright Materials (up 12 spots to No. 66) and Ames Construction (up 11 spots to No. 64) also make double-digit gains. Mountain States Constructors, meanwhile, experienced the biggest drop in the group, slipping 36 spots to rank at No. 72. Memphis Stone & Gravel Co. (down 10 spots to No. 60) and Dolese Bros Co. (down eight spots to No. 56) are among the other sand and gravel producers in this tier to lose ground.
