Chaney Enterprises, an aggregate and ready-mixed concrete producer, purchased the sand and gravel operation of Virginia Sand & Stone located in Newtown, Virginia.
The sand and gravel mining operation in Newtown will be Chaney Enterprises’ fourth sand and gravel facility in Virginia, joining Moss Neck Sand & Gravel in Woodford, Charles City Sand & Gravel in Charles City, and Stony Creek Sand & Gravel in Carson.
“This purchase compliments our current land holdings as we expand, connecting our sand and gravel operations from Maryland to Delaware and throughout Virginia,” says Francis Chaney III, CEO of Chaney Enterprises. “We look forward to serving the current customers of Virginia Sand & Stone while bringing our phenomenal, hard-working team members together.”
Chaney Enterprises is headquartered in Gambrills, Maryland. It operates 12 sand and gravel facilities and 39 ready-mix plants.
