Bridgestone Americas will debut three off-road tires March 3-7 at ConExpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas: the 27.00R49 Bridgestone MasterCore V-Steel M-Traction Deep (VMTD), the 24.00R35 Bridgestone V-Steel Rock Deep Ultra (VRDU) and the Firestone Multi Block T.

The tires headline Bridgestone’s booth, which will showcase a range of tires for applications such as cranes, graders, haulers and loaders.

“These three new tires underscore our relentless focus on delivering premium products that help our customers operate more efficiently,” says Rob Seibert, off the road president at Bridgestone Americas. “Each tire is engineered to deliver optimal performance in the most demanding environments, extending tire life, reducing downtime and lowering total cost of ownership, helping our customers move more with less.”

MasterCore highlights

Headlining the Bridgestone booth is the new Bridgestone MasterCore VMTD 27.00R49 for 100-ton haul trucks. The new tire leverages the company’s MasterCore technology, helping deliver superior traction and longevity on challenging surfaces.

According to Bridgestone, key benefits of the MasterCore VMTD include increased tread depth compared to the Bridgestone VMTP tire, longer life and increased load capacity.

With the introduction of the MasterCore VMTD tire and its traction-based tread pattern, Bridgestone now offers two tread patterns in the 27.00R49 tire segment. The other is the rock tread pattern of the Bridgestone MasterCore VRDU, launched last summer. The MasterCore VMTD will be available to fleets this June, and ti will be offered in four compound options: standard, cut resistance, ultra cut resistance and heat resistance.

VRDU features

At the show, Bridgestone will also highlight the new three-star VRDU tire in the 24.00R35 size. Engineered with a rock tread pattern, the tire is specifically for rigid dump trucks, extending the hauling benefits of larger VRDU sizes to quarry applications. It is the second three-star product offered by Bridgestone in the large tire segment.

Features of the 24.00R35 VRDU include increased ton miles per hour, greater load capacity compared to the two-star Bridgestone VRQP tire, and the new rock tread pattern, which enhances wear life and minimizes heat generation.

The new VRDU size will be available in 2027 and replace the Bridgestone VRQP tire in the company’s portfolio.

The latest Firestone model

Designed for articulated dump trucks and wheel loaders, the new Firestone Multi Block T radial tire is built to deliver higher cut resistance and enhanced tire life, according to Bridgestone. The Firestone Multi Block T is the latest addition to the Firestone portfolio, replacing the Versabuilt AP.

The Firestone Multi Block T offers increased cut resistance compared to the Versabuilt AP tire, deeper tread depth and a new tread block design, as well as a multi-star and non-directional pattern offering greater versatility and easier tire management.

The Firestone Multi Block T will be offered in five sizes (17.525, 20.5R25, 23.5R25, 26.5R25, and 29.5R25). It will be available this summer.
