BMG Conveyor Services, based in Tampa Bay, Fla., opened a second location across the street from its headquarters near the Port of Tampa. According to the company, the new property adds 23,000 sq. ft. and four acres to the company’s footprint, with space available to double warehouse facilities in the future.
The new location’s fabrication department includes an upgraded electrical system with full 480-volt three-phase power service, a 200-ton press brake and a CNC machine.
In addition to the new location, BMG’s existing belt shop expanded in size by 30 percent and its inventory expanded by 50 percent, the company reports.
“We’ve expanded our parts stocking program quite a bit to ensure that our customers have the parts they need in any breakdown situation,” says Josh Thomas, BMG’s operations manager. “We saw a need within our customer base and responded by adding remanufactured Dodge gear reducers, a new line of conveyor belting, v-belts and sheaves. And we expanded our inventory of Dodge pulleys.”
According to the company, the new location increases its capabilities beyond conveyor solutions and components.
“We see to a lot more than just conveyors,” says Stephenie Davis, BMG president. “Our fabrication department can build almost anything and has built everything from box folding machines to 270-ft. box truss conveyors.”
