Blasting expert joins Dyno Nobel as a vice president

Dyno Nobel named Braden Lusk as its vice president of DynoConsult and applications technology.

According to Dyno Nobel, Lusk brings extensive technical experience in the blasting and explosives industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. in mining engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Lusk also has been the professor and chair of mining and nuclear engineering at the university.

Prior to this, he was a professor and director of graduate studies in mining engineering at the University of Kentucky. While at Kentucky, Lusk was promoted through the ranks of assistant, associate and full professor from 2006 to 2016.

Additionally, Lusk has experience from 1997 to 2003 at Cargill Salt, Dykon Blasting, Marston & Marston and Hutchison Salt. He is published in nearly 100 publications and holds a number of blasting and explosives-related certifications.

“We are looking forward to having Braden join the Dyno Nobel team,” says Len Smith, senior vice president of marketing and channel management at Dyno Nobel.
