Ted Baker II, CEO of Blue Water Industries, was named 2025 board chair of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) toward the end of the association’s Annual Convention.
Baker succeeds Martin Marietta’s Jim Nickolas in the NSSGA board chair role.
“I’m honored to be the next chair of NSSGA,” says Baker, who paid P&Q an exclusive visit ahead of the NSSGA Annual Convention to discuss his priorities as board chair. “And what an honor to chair the 25th year of this great association. I want my tenure to be about welcoming everyone. When we work together, when we speak with one voice, we’re so much more effective than when we’re on our own.”
Baker shared his vision for the association during his remarks at the Annual Convention, highlighting opportunities presented to the industry while emphasizing his leadership goals.
Baker’s experience spans decades at small, medium and large aggregate producers. He joined the industry first by working in a concrete block plant and a ready-mixed concrete plant for his family’s business.
