Dings Company: Simpler is Better.

Photo: Dings Co. Magnetic Group If tramp metal is rare in your process but must be removed… Sometimes Simpler is Better. Dings Overhead Stationary Electromagnets protect your conveyors, crushers, screens and other valuable processing equipment from damage caused by tramp metal. The stationary model, with no moving parts, is virtually maintenance-free. All you need to do is periodically check the cooling oil. The stationary model has no self-cleaning belt to sag, allowing for a lower suspension height and making the use of a smaller, more economical magnet possible. The feature that makes Dings electromagnets the best choice for your application is our unique coil design of anodized aluminum strap instead of insulated wires. This coil design produces a stronger, deeper and more uniform magnetic field than the others and doesn’t require an external oil tank or pipes. Dings Company stands behind the quality of their electromagnetic coil design with an industry best 20-year warranty on coil burnout. Contact us to discuss your application and metal separation needs. PPI Introduces AR Lagging!

Photo: PPI Excessive wear can lead to lost production due to the maintenance involved in changing out a pulley. PPI’s proprietary rubber compound used in AR lagging has been proven in a controlled abrasion test to demonstrate roughly twice the resistance to mass loss as standard SBR. AR lagged pulleys are equipped with a wear indicator strip notifying maintenance personnel that the lagging has worn to a point that scheduled maintenance should be planned. This improved abrasion resistance leads to extended replacement intervals, resulting in a lower cost of production.   Learn more. Keep Reading

Cardinal Scale: Guardian Hydraulic Truck Scales

Photo: Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co. Cardinal Scale’s Guardian hydraulic truck scales are impervious against lightning strikes and water damage, two of the most common environmental factors to affect truck scale performance. Guardian truck scales carry a true lifetime warranty for the hydraulic SST load cells, so you are protected for the lifespan of your truck scale when you buy a Guardian. Hundreds of standard models are available in 10, 11, 12, and 14 ft widths with lengths ranging from 12 ft up to 160 ft long, plus customized weighbridges are readily available through Cardinal Scale’s in-house, PE-certified engineering staff. The Guardian provides high accuracy and longevity in hostile environments. Internal weighbridge checking alleviates the need for external check rods. Plus, the hydraulic system is converted to digital in the totalizer cabinet which provides individual load cell diagnostics via the included iSite remote monitoring with e-mail and text alerts. This combination marries the benefits of a hydraulic weighbridge with digital remote diagnostics to ensure your weighing system always runs at optimal… Keep Reading

TRAMAC Booms and Montabert® Variable Speed Breakers

Photo: TRAMAC Booms and Montabert Montabert® automatic Variable-Speed Breakers sense changes in material hardness and adjust the breaker’s impact energy and striking rate. The result is increased productivity, based on the application, and reduced blank firing. Montabert’s variable-speed technology also reduces unnecessary harmful energy from transferring to the carrier and breaker, helping to prevent wear on parts and components. These breakers ideally work in tandem with TRAMAC boom systems to productively break oversize rocks prior to primary crushing. TRAMAC offers nine models of stationary boom assemblies for rock breakers that — depending on the model — provide horizontal reach from 14 – 65 ft, 170° – 360° of swing arc,  and 1,500 – 13,000 ft lb of hammer impact. Boom weights range from 5,850 – 55,000 lb and accommodate hammer weights from 1,098 – 9,920 lb. Standard across its entire boom line, rugged cylinders of high-strength steel and welded construction are built from chrome-plated, high-tensile steel rods. Heavy-duty, oversize pins are fitted with replaceable aluminum bronze bushings. Self-aligning spherical bushings… Keep Reading
