East Manufacturing adds Pittsburgh dealer
East Manufacturing named Reno’s Trailer Sales Inc. as a dealer of East products. The dealer, based in Belle Vernon, Pa., will now offer East Manufacturing's flatbed and drop deck trailer products to its customers. “We have always taken great pride in the trailer lines that we represent,” says Lance Luchini, president of Reno’s Trailer Sales. “We are extremely proud to add the fine flatbed and drop deck trailer products of East to our family of trailer lines.” According to East Manufacturing, Reno's Trailer Sales launched in the specialty trailer market 25 years ago. Rockster Recycler names U.S. brand representative
Rockster Recycler, manufacturer of mobile crushing and screening plants, appointed Daniel Civinski to serve as its new U.S. representative to expand Rockster’s reach in the United States. Civinski joined Rockster at the end of 2015. According to Rockster, Civinski has 20 years of experience in crusher operating, mechanics and sales support. He recently attended the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Summit to represent Rockster North America and share the company's goals. “Once I found out the reliability and ease of operation I was convinced of Rockster crushers,” says Civinski. “I wanted to grow with a company that supports the end-user as well as the dealers. Rema Tip Top supervisory board adds two directors
The Rema Tip Top supervisory board plans to expand its board of directors from two to four directors in March. The company appointed Thorsten Wach and Udo Zimmer to its board of directors. Wach will serve as Rema Tip Top's chairman of the board of directors. He will be responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, compliance and corporate development portfolios. Wach joined the company in 2006 as CEO of its Africa Cluster. He helped to develop the regional organization to be one of the leading service suppliers in Africa. Zimmer will serve as Rema Tip Top's financial director. He will be responsible for the finance, investor relations, IT and internal audit portfolios. In the past, Zimmer has worked as a CFO and helped to acquire and merge different companies. Terex Corp. receives acquisition proposal from Zoomlion
Terex Corp. received an unsolicited, non-binding acquisition proposal from Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co. to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Terex for $30 in cash. According to the company, the proposal is conditioned on receipt of U.S. and Chinese regulatory approval, as well as Zoomlion shareholder approval. Terex entered into a confidentiality agreement with Zoomlion and is in discussions with Zoomlion regarding the proposal. The Terex board of directors is reviewing the Zoomlion proposal to determine a course of action that will best serve the interest of Terex shareholders. Terex previously announced it had entered into a merger with Konecranes. The Terex board of directors has not changed its recommendation of the proposed combination with Konecranes. Terex is a lifting and material handling solutions company that serves five business segments, including aerial work platforms, construction, cranes, material handling and port solutions, and materials processing. Eagle Materials president, CEO plans to retire
Eagle Materials announced Steve Rowley, president and CEO, plans to retire on March 31. Rowley worked with Eagle Materials and its stockholders for 25 years. Rowley says he plans to continue to work with the company’s management for the next two years in an advisory role. “I’ve been privileged to lead an organization that is the undisputed benchmark company in our industry today,” Rowley says. “The timing of my decision is driven by recent surgery complications that are restricting my mobility and my capability to fulfill what I view as the full set of CEO role dimensions." The company appointed Dave Powers, executive vice president for Gypsum Wallboard at Eagle Materials, to serve as the company’s new president and CEO after Rowley’s retirement. Kalenborn Abresist Corp. appointed Craig Frendewey as its senior vice president of sales and marketing. Frendewey, a graduate of Northern Michigan University, joined Kalenborn Abresist in 2013 as a sales manager. According to the company, he has more than 30 years of experience in industrial distribution and specialty contracting within the power generation, mining, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries. Frendewey also serves as a leadership development facilitator, in which he works with sales and management teams to help focus their organizations in becoming more leadership-driven companies. Kalenborn Abresist designs and supplies wear solutions to a range of industries that use mineral and metallic solutions. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) rules and regulations are continuously of interest to aggregate producers. Mike Heenan, an attorney at Ogletree Deakins who also serves as Pit & Quarry’s legal editor, offered his latest insights on MSHA developments in a Q&A session at the recent Pit & Quarry Roundtable & Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Heenan discussed workplace examinations, civil penalties, Rules to Live By violations and more with producers, manufacturers and allied trade representatives. P&Q: MSHA issued a program information bulletin regarding workplace examinations, but it says this doesn’t change enforcement. Is that correct? Security expert to lead NSSGA Annual Convention session
The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) announced Jason R. Hanson plans to lead the second general session at NSSGA’s Annual Convention. According to the association, Hanson will focus his presentation on situational awareness. Hanson, a security expert and former CIA officer, will teach convention attendees how to hinder personal and corporate crimes on a daily basis in his presentation. Hanson is the New York Times best-selling author of "Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life."
