Case Construction Equipment: F Series wheel loader line
The F Series wheel loader line from Case Construction Equipment includes the 1021F and 1121F, a size class of machines specifically engineered for quarry, aggregate and truck-loading applications. According to Case, the hydro-mechanical transmission on the wheel loaders provides additional fuel savings, faster acceleration and faster hydraulic cycle times. The 1021F features a 296-hp engine, a 5.5-cu.-yd. bucket, a dump height of 121 in. and an operating weight of 53,500 lbs. The 1121F, rated at 320 hp, has a 6.25-cu.-yd. bucket, a dump height of 126 in. and an operating weight of 60,800 lbs. To increase productivity and meet Interim Tier 4 emission standards, Case employs selective catalytic reduction technology for wheel loaders. www.casece.com Photo: Case Construction Equipment Keep Reading
DSC Dredge LLC: Dredge Series
DSC offers five standard dredge models – including the Marlin Class Underwater Pump Mining Dredge and the Shark Class Cutter Suction Dredge – all of which can be ordered as-is or customized to a specific application. The Shark is known for its conventional dredge-operating configuration, with modular design for ease of operation. The Marlin can dig more than 150 ft. with its underwater pump and high-torque cutter drive assembly. Both are capable of digging deeper and producing more, while dramatically reducing overall cost per ton, the company says. In addition to its custom-engineered dredges, DSC also supplies parts for all types of dredges across the world, and its in-house Automation department designs custom packages that can be added to any dredge. www.DSCDredge.com Keep Reading
Immersive Technologies: Advanced Equipment Simulators
The new PRO3-B and UG360-B Advanced Equipment Simulators represent an upgrade to Immersive Technologies’ PRO3 and UG360 models. They feature an Enhanced Trainer Station, a dual-monitor interface that allows a trainer to better manage the simulator during a session. Trainers can now observe a 3D view, trigger events, review errors as they occur, generate reports, administer scenarios and learners all while running training sessions, vastly improving trainer efficiency. The two-screen setup allows a trainer to administer the simulator on one screen, while a view of the session is run on the second screen. New views of the simulation are part of the enhancement, and include multiple fixed views and free-roaming camera settings that allow the trainer to view the learner’s performance from any angle. The Station is also available as an upgrade for all owners of PRO3 and UG360 Advanced Equipment Simulators. www.immersivetechnologies.com Keep Reading
Baldor Electric Co.: MST Soft Starter
Baldor Electric Co.’s new MST Soft Starter with six SCR three-phase voltage control offers advanced protection for the motor, the soft starter and the load. Available from 7.5 to 1,000 hp at 208 to 575 Vac (volts alternating current), this product is suitable for a wide variety of applications, including pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, mixers and stirrers. It features programmable torque control, providing a more linear acceleration during start that reduces wear and tear – and during stop, virtually eliminates pump water hammer. It also offers integrated advanced motor protection with current sensing, programmable signal relays, programmable analog output and a built-in keypad interface. MST Digital Soft Starters are available in two styles: The open starter has a small footprint that makes mounting easy, and is loaded with high-end features that improve performance and save energy. The enclosed combination starter combines overcurrent protection and overload protection in a single package. www.baldor.com Keep Reading
W.S. Tyler: F-Class Vibrating Screens
W.S. Tyler’s F-Class Vibrating Screens are ideal for challenging screening applications requiring consistent performance and minimal vibration. Featuring an advanced double eccentric shaft design, the four-bearing F-Class ensures the most effective screening action by generating a positive stroke that handles material volume spikes without losing momentum. The dynamically balanced system reduces structural vibration, allowing multiple screens to be placed side by side. The F-Class is available in widths of 4, 6, 8 and 10 ft., and, thanks to its completely modular design, can be run in tandem creating up to a 32-ft.-long screen. Designed for high tonnage outputs, the F-Class can process up to 1,200 tph, providing fast, accurate classification of virtually any material. www.wstyler.ca Photo: W.S. Tyler Keep Reading
Thompson Pump: 8JSCW
Thompson Pump’s 8JSCW high-head, pit dewatering pump is dry-running, portable, automatically priming and diesel-driven. The centrifugal pump offers maximum flows up to 4,250 gpm and high discharge heads up to 660 ft. — ideal for many mining and hydraulic fracking operations that can handle clear liquids or solids up to 2 in. www.ThompsonPump.com Photo: Thompson Pump Keep Reading
Caterpillar: H75Es and H95Es
Caterpillar is expanding the E Series Hammer line with the addition of the new H75Es and H95Es, designed for backhoe loaders and small excavators. E Series Hammers are wholly designed, engineered and manufactured by Caterpillar. The hammers are fully supported by Cat dealers, so customers can work with a single organization for machine and work tool parts and service. E Series hammers feature automatic shutoff, which instantly stops the hammer when the tool breaks through material. The system increases hammer reliability and durability by eliminating the high internal stresses created by blank firing. Sound suppression is standard, for environmental protection and improved operator comfort. www.Cat.com Photo: Caterpillar Keep Reading
KPI-JCI: 9400P
The KPI-JCI 9400P portable fines recovery plant can help aggregate producers reduce the volume of fine material reporting to their settling ponds without the use of flocculants. Key material processing components of the plant include a rubber-lined slurry pump with variable frequency drive, rubber-lined hydrocyclones, a heavy-duty dewatering screen and a dual inlet slurry sump with bypass capabilities, all on a road-portable chassis. To reach maximum capacity, operators can adjust sump, pump, cyclone and screen sizes and quantities. Additionally, an air suspension axle assembly, hydraulic leveling jacks, hydraulically folding cyclone support system and gas/hydraulic power pack ensure ease of plant setup and teardown, without the use of external equipment. www.KPIJCI.com Keep Reading
Wilden: HX400S
Rather than relying on costly external boosters or amplifiers, one of the liquid chambers on Wilden’s new HX400S high-pressure, air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump is used as an amplification chamber. This allows the pump to generate a 2:1 ratio of discharge fluid pressure to air inlet pressure – resulting in the ability to achieve a discharge fluid pressure of up to 250 psig. Additionally, the HX400S pump, which is available with 1.5-in. inlet and discharge connections, is outfitted with Wilden’s Pro-Flo X Air Distribution System. The Pro-Flo X ADS features a state-of-the-art Efficiency Management System, which allows the operator to dial in the actual operational parameters regardless of the application demands or pump size. www.Wildenpump.com Photo: Wilden Keep Reading
