National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum Historical Mining Display

Since man first ventured underground in search of valuable minerals, numerous methods of lighting the darkness have been employed.  Torches were first used, then oil lamps with simple wicks led the way. As technology advanced, candles and lanterns came along, followed by battery powered head lamps and electric lighting. Today, LED cap lamps are the next evolution in mine illumination. Historical mining illumination equipment is on display at the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum, Leadville, Colo. www.mininghalloffame.org Keep Reading

Columbia Steel Smooth End Jaws

Columbia Steel smooth end jaws offer better wear life than conventional toothed jaws and more productivity than ordinary smooth jaws. Teeth in the center portion are designed to concentrate crushing forces at their crowns for maximum breaking force. Valleys between the teeth allow crushed material to fall freely to the lower portion of the crushing chamber. The lower portion of the jaw has a smooth crushing face to provide more wear metal and accurate final product sizing. Columbia Steel manufactures an unmatched selection of these sophisticated profile combinations, so you get the advantages of both jaw types. columbiasteel.com Keep Reading
