Austin Powder appointed Mark Dawson president of U.S. and Canada services, effective April 1.
Dawson most recently served as senior vice president at Halliburton, leading its global completion and production division. He held a range of leadership roles in the Americas, Asia and Europe during his years at Halliburton.
At Austin Powder, he will report to president and CEO John Rathbun.
“Mark is a proven leader with a strong track record of managing complex transformations and identifying and executing organic and inorganic growth opportunities,” Rathbun says. “Given the importance of this role, we have been searching for more than a year for someone with Mark’s experience, ability and sensitivity to the Austin culture and our critical focus on safety.”
