Armada Materials, a producer of aggregates, asphalt and other infrastructure materials and services, purchased Drake’s Creek Stone in Franklin, Kentucky.
The quarry, formerly part of Charles DeWeese Construction, expands Armada’s aggregate business.
Located near Interstate 65 between Nashville, Tennessee, and Bowling Green, Kentucky, Drake’s Creek Stone is positioned to serve the northern Tennessee and southern Kentucky region. The quarry provides a range of crushed stone products.
“We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Kentucky with the acquisition of Drake’s Creek Stone,” says Rob Duke, CEO of Armada Materials. “I’m also pleased to welcome Bill Garske as general sales manager of Drake’s Creek Stone. As the former owner of BG Concrete, and with prior leadership roles in the construction materials industry, Bill brings significant experience to help grow our business in Kentucky.”
Garske expressed his enthusiasm over the development.
“I’m very excited to be part of Drake’s Creek Stone”, he says. “We have a tremendous opportunity in south central Kentucky, and I look forward to working closely with customers, employees and community leaders to make a positive impact in the local region.”
Armada Materials, which is based in Florida, was founded in 2023 by Duke and a group of investors that includes several industry veterans and Kelso & Co., a middle-market private equity firm.
