Bauma is underway in Munich, Germany, where equipment manufacturers are showcasing their latest wares April 7-13.

The last Bauma took place in 2022, drawing nearly 500,000 visitors from more than 200 countries, according to trade show host Messe München. By comparison, the last ConExpo-Con/Agg hosted in Las Vegas in 2023 attracted nearly 140,000 attendees.

Among the equipment manufacturers exhibiting at Bauma 2025 is Caterpillar, which is marking its 100th anniversary at the show.

“Caterpillar is celebrating a century marked by groundbreaking innovation, engineering excellence and industry expertise,” says Tony Fassino, president of Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Group. “While we look back and appreciate our history, we stand ready for all that is in store for ‘The Next 100 Years.’ Alongside the Cat dealer network, we are energized by what the future holds and remain committed to helping solve customer challenges as we work together to build a better, more sustainable world.”

The company is showcasing the new Cat 775 off-highway truck at Bauma. The 71-ton-payload hauler is engineered to enable fully autonomous capabilities in the future, according to Cat.

“The design of the next-gen 775 represents a significant leap forward in off-highway truck technology, offering unmatched power, efficiency and safety features,” Fassino says. “Visitors at Bauma will see our full range of technology offerings, from remote control to semi-autonomous to the future of autonomous machines in construction.
