Amrize lifts aggregate sales, pricing in third quarter

Third-quarter revenues rose 6.6 percent at Amrize, although the company’s net income (down 1.6 percent) and adjusted EBITDA (down 3.3 percent) both slipped.

Amrize chairman and CEO Jan Jenisch says organic revenue expansion was driven by volume growth in building materials and commercial roofing, as well as favorable aggregate and shingle pricing. Infrastructure demand remained strong, he adds, and the commercial market improved while the residential market remained soft amid lower new construction and a milder storm season.

“As our first full quarter operating as Amrize, we made progress across our business, and I thank our 19,000 teammates for serving our customers across all of our markets,” Jenisch says.

Revenues in Amrize’s building materials segment increased 8.7 percent in the third quarter to $2.77 billion. The company sold 40.2 million tons of aggregates – up 3.3 percent year over year.

Additionally, aggregate price per ton rose 10.1 percent to $16.99. Amrize’s freight-adjusted aggregate price per ton rose 5.4 percent to $13.95.

“This quarter, we made progress across our key organic growth investments and kicked off new projects to expand production and improve efficiency to serve our customers in attractive markets from Dallas-Fort Worth to Calgary,” Jenisch says.
