A record number of aggregate and asphalt professionals convened in Nashville for the largest AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo and World of Asphalt in the history of the shows.
According to show organizers, more than 15,800 industry professionals took part in the three-day event at the Music City Center. Attendance was up 38 percent over the last AGG1 held in Nashville two years ago.
“The AGG1 Academy & Expo is a unique environment that facilitates the connection of exhibitors and attendees to experience the latest innovations, technology and education,” says Michael Johnson, president and CEO of the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association. “This year’s immense growth of exhibit space and attendance is aligned with the strength and impact of the entire aggregates industry.”
AGG1 and World of Asphalt attendees had the opportunity to visit 440 exhibitors. One hundred twenty education sessions were available across the two shows, as well.
Show organizers says AGG1 and World of Asphalt visitors traveled from as far as Africa, England and Argentina to take part in the event.
“The success of this year’s event is thanks to the dedication and collaboration of all our teams and partners,” says Brittany Schmidtke, show director of World of Asphalt. “This year’s record-breaking attendance proves the vital role this event plays in the asphalt and aggregates industries.”
