AGG1 Aggregates Academy & Expo will make its St. Louis debut March 25-27 at the America’s Center Convention Complex.

The show heads to the Gateway City for the first time in its history. AGG1 will once again be co-located with World of Asphalt.

According to the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA), which hosts AGG1, last year’s event in Nashville saw a record-breaking 38 percent surge in attendance, with nearly 16,000 people attending and more than 440 companies exhibiting at the Music City Center. AGG1 was also held in Nashville in 2022.

NSSGA says St. Louis offers an excellent backdrop for the show, given the city’s efforts in the medical, scientific and engineering realms. AGG1 2025 will offer a showcase of the latest industry equipment, services and technologies.

“This event provides a forum for aggregates and industrial sand industry professionals that maximizes networking and drives success to reach their business goals,” says Michele Stanley, interim CEO of NSSGA. “Attendees will have multiple educational options with the AGG1 Academy, and the show floor will showcase the latest technology and innovation.”

Brittany Schmidtke, World of Asphalt show director, shares Stanley’s excitement ahead of the trade shows.

“After the success of last year’s event, we are fully committed to delivering an even more dynamic and informative experience for our attendees,” Schmidtke says.

Educational offerings

AGG1 Academy offers nearly 60 education sessions for aggregate industry professionals focused on topics ranging from operational efficiency and best practices to safety and sustainability. NSSGA says these sessions allow attendees to gain practical insight from leaders in the field, stay competitive and drive industry innovation.

The sessions are broken down into four tracks: operations and production, safety and health, business and people management, and environment and sustainability. Ninety-minute sessions will be held starting at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on March 25 and 26, and at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on March 27.

Session topics include the latest aggregate technology, sustainable quarry reclamation, an economic outlook for the aggregate industry, introductory-level sessions covering different aspects of the aggregate industry and production, and more.

Audrey Copeland, president and CEO of the National Asphalt Pavement Association – the majority owner of World of Asphalt – is excited for what this year’s show will offer attendees.

“World of Asphalt is where our industry comes together to share the latest innovations across the paving ecosphere – technology, equipment, employee relations, business solutions, paving best practices and AI,” Copeland says. “We’re excited to bring all this learning to St. Louis, where four interstates paved with asphalt converge, and to enjoy fun and fellowship on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River.”
