
The Indiana State Museum, located in White River State Park, is a must-see destination for tourists of all ages.
The museum tells the detailed history of the Hoosier state, featuring exhibits, events and educational programs through three floors of both permanent and changing galleries. Permanent galleries include Frozen Reign: A State of Change; The R.B. Annis Naturalist’s Lab; and First Nations: The Story of Indiana’s Founding People.
In addition to the exhibits, the museum also features an IMAX movie theater, the Indiana Store, the Farmers Market Cafe and the L.S. Ayres Tea Room, which is open to the public and available for private dining throughout the year.
Cost of admission to the Indiana State Museum is $17 for adults; $16 for seniors (age 60 and older); $15 for college students (with valid ID from Indiana college or university); and $12 for youths (ages 3-17).
