The Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) rescheduled its 2021 Summit for May 24-26 in-person at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas. AED will also offer a virtual option for attendees.
The event was originally scheduled for March 29-31 in Las Vegas. According to the association, the decision to reschedule for May was made after careful consultation with senior association staff and chairman Ron Bartlet.
AED also says it is working closely with hotel management to develop health and safety protocols such as virtual site inspections, catering options and venue arrangements that meet physical distancing requirements. Additional in-person safety precautions include required face masks, social distancing, contactless registration and frequent sanitizing stations.
“Although the dates may have changed, the 2021 Summit’s scheduled events remain the same,” says Brian McGuire, president of AED. “Attendees will be able to participate in professional education sessions, browse vendors on the conference dealer expo floor, participate in hospitality suite meetings and hear from world-class speakers.
“When you attend Summit, regardless if it is in-person or virtually, you will still get all the same great programming,” McGuire adds. “AED will continue to work closely with The Mirage in Las Vegas to negate any unnecessary health risk.”
