Bill Doran’s practice is concentrated in safety and health law and litigation at the law firm Ogletree Deakins. Doran represents and advises companies with respect to issues arising under federal and state safety and health statutes. He represents companies in accident investigations, special investigations, audits and discrimination investigations conducted by MSHA and OSHA, as well as state agencies. He also represents companies in litigation before the Occupational Safety & Health Review Commission, the Federal Mine Safety & Health Review Commission and the federal courts. Doran advises and represents companies and trade associations on local and national issues within the purview of federal agency administrators.

Margo Lopez is the managing shareholder of the Washington, D.C. office of Ogletree Deakins, and is a long-time workplace safety lawyer representing mining companies in the coal, metal, stone, sand and gravel industries. She is a highly successful litigator and regularly presents company and industry cases before administrative law judges, Federal Review Commissions and the U.S. Court of Appeals. Lopez represents mine operators in federal investigations and cases arising out of mine incidents and agency enforcement actions under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act. She has been lead counsel in the aftermath of serious mine accidents and she represents companies and witnesses in MSHA special investigations and safety discrimination cases.

George Reddin, Pit & Quarry’s economics columnist, is a managing director with FMI Capital Advisors, FMI Corp.’s registered investment banking subsidiary. Reddin specializes in mergers, acquisitions and financial advisory services. He works with companies in the construction materials industry, including aggregate, hot-mix asphalt, ready-mix concrete and concrete product producers, as well as contractors involved in road-building construction. Reddin is also a member of the National Asphalt Pavement Association; the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association; the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association; and the National Precast Concrete Association.

Rob Mineo is a managing director with FMI Capital Advisors, Inc., FMI Corporation’s registered investment banking subsidiary. Mineo specializes in mergers and acquisitions for the construction materials industry. Prior to becoming an investment banker, Mineo worked as a mechanical design engineer and holds a professional engineering license as well as a LEED AP certification for sustainable building practices. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
