Sunrock Industries, formerly Carolina Sunrock, hired Mike Nolan as its new president.

Sunrock, which is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a privately held construction materials supplier.

Nolan joins the company with a 20-year career in construction materials, most recently having served as president of a family-owned company in New York that specializes in aggregates, hot-mix asphalt, pavement preservation and heavy civil construction.

According to Sunrock, Nolan has served in leadership roles in multinational and family-owned companies throughout his career – and across a variety of disciplines, including sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions, large-scale IT strategy and general management.

Nolan is a native of Maryland, where his family still operates a third-generation civil engineering equipment supply company. Sunrock says he plans to relocate to Raleigh along with his family.
