Holcim named Jaime Hill its North America region head.
Hill, formerly Holcim’s CEO of Mexico, succeeds Toufic Tabbara in the North America head role. Tabbara is pursuing opportunities outside of the company, according to Holcim.
As Holcim describes, Hill contributed to Mexico being the second-biggest contributor to its EBIT worldwide. He joined Holcim in 1996 and has more than 30 years of international leadership experience.
In addition to appointing Hill, Holcim made other leadership appointments. Carmen Diaz, Holcim’s CEO of Spain, was appointed chief people officer, effective Oct. 1.
Also, Lukas Studer, general counsel of corporate and M&A, was appointed group general counsel, effective Nov. 1. Studer succeeds Mathias Gaertner, who is pursuing a career opportunity outside of Holcim after ensuring a smooth transition. Studer joined Holcim in 2008 and has been general counsel of corporate and M&A since 2017.
“I am pleased to appoint Jaime, Carmen and Lukas to their new leadership positions at the core of Holcim’s next era of growth,” says Miljan Gutovic, CEO of Holcim. “All three are highly accomplished business leaders who have driven record performance across our markets.”
