Bob Sidley, chairman of the board at Ohio’s R.W. Sidley, died at age 87.

Sidley, a longtime executive at the company, served his family business for 44 years. He assumed leadership of the company his parents founded following his father’s death in 1961.

During Sidley’s time, R.W. Sidley expanded its products and services to include a range of solutions used in today’s building, renovation and landscaping markets. The company celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2013.

Sidley was active in the Ohio Ready Mix Concrete Association, serving on the organization’s board of directors and as president from 1986 to 1988. In 2022, he received the Ohio Concrete Association’s William R. Feltz Lifetime Achievement Award.  He also served as a director for the National Ready Mix Association.
