Komatsu’s new JMHB-V breaker series is designed and tested for compatibility with Komatsu excavators, from the PC210 up to the PC490. With minimal energy wasted and subsequent higher operating efficiency, Komatsu says its hydraulic-fired V-series breakers modulate their impact force and frequency with up to 16 working positions to match most application requirements. The series is designed to help maximize productivity while helping to lower cost per ton, the company adds. The breakers are fitted with an energy-saving recovery valve that recuperates energy to drive efficiency.

Updates deliver more speed, productivity

Caterpillar made a number of updates to the 988K XE wheel loader, aiming for a faster downhill speed, improved rimpull and increased hydraulic breakout force for better production. According to Cat, the 988K XE’s updated design improves cycle times in load-and-carry applications. An optional counterweight increases stability and offers faster maneuverability with load-and-carry tasks. Additionally, Cat says the new Go-Pedal for the 988K XE features three dynamic breaking levels to give operators easier single right-hand pedal operation. Also, standard tire-slip prevention reduces tire slip and wear to increase tire life and lower owning costs.

Crawler excavator elevates comfort, fuel efficiency and more

Doosan introduced the newest iteration of the DX350LC within the midsize category of crawler excavators. The DX350LC-7 comes with a new design and increased performance, operator comfort, fuel efficiency and serviceability, the company says. An example of added operator comfort is the Doosan Smart Touch, a new 8-in. touchscreen inside the cab. The touchscreen offers operators access to a wealth of machine information, Doosan says. Additionally, the D-ECOPower fuel-saving feature of the DX350LC-7 supplies the required operating flow to the machine’s hydraulic system to minimize waste.
